What We Hold
Your name, your email, and a password only you ever see. If you sell, your address and your bank details through Stripe. If you buy, what you bought and where it went.
Your photographs and your own words stay yours. We hold them so a stranger can see the piece you are offering, and read what you said about the years it had.
Your Address, Which Is The One That Matters
Your address is released rather than published. It travels to one person, at the moment they pay, and it lives nowhere else. It appears in no listing, in no search, and in no public feed.
That is the whole reason a payment comes before a visit.
What You Told Us You Were Looking For
Where you have told us what you are hoping to find, and what it is worth to you, that sits on a board anybody may read — so that somebody with it standing in their shed can find you. Your email address is never on that board. It reaches nobody but us.
Who Sees It
Stripe holds your card and your bank details so we never do. Our mail is sent by a service that sees your email address and your name.
We sell your details to nobody, and we hand them to nobody for advertising.
How Long We Keep It
A finished sale stays on file for five years, counted from the day it completed. The Australian Taxation Office asks that of every business, a marketplace included.
The rest goes when you ask. An account with no sales behind it, a listing you took down, a photograph you removed, a wish you no longer have — say the word and it leaves us.
What You Can Ask For
Ask us what we hold about you and we will send it. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to remove you and we will, keeping only what the tax office requires of a completed sale.
Write to us at the address at the foot of every page and a person answers.
Cookies
We keep you signed in and we remember your basket. We count how many people visit, in a way that names nobody.
